"Azerbaijan plays a major role in the restoration of the ancient Silk Road."
Andreas Baumgartner, a former partner of Tony Blair Associate, an advisor to A + A Kazakhstan, who participated in the Caspian Week, Global Ideas Platform at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, told Report.
The expert said that Azerbaijan, located on the ancient Silk Road, at the junction of east, west, north and south, has an ancient and proud history:
"Azerbaijan, which has such a history, continues to contribute to the development of relations and cooperation between other countries, their rapprochement. Thus, due to its high role in the restoration of the Ancient Silk Road, it opened the way for the export of goods to the east, west, north and south. By this I mean both non-oil products and oil products, and this road is also important for oil transportation. It is clear to everyone that there is a great need for additional corridors in the world today.
The expert also touched upon the activities of the Caspian-Black Sea consortium:
"The consortium is trying to accompany Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and other countries in the region in developing and implementing projects that meet global realities. We are also trying to revive the ancient history of the Silk Road. As we know, Azerbaijan plays a major role in this path. We are working to further strengthen the historically existing cooperation between the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea. "
The expert stressed the importance of holding a platform dedicated to the Greater Caspian Region within the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The Caspian Week, Global Ideas Platform brings together people not only from the countries of the region, but also from the United States, Europe, Asia and all other countries in general. They also have the opportunity to learn about their goals. This platform helps them find answers to all their questions about the region. ”
